Die EU-Kommission hat jetzt den drei europäischen Standardisierungsorganisationen CEN, CENELEC und ETSI offiziell den Auftrag erteilt, mit der Definition aller noch fehlenden Standards im Smart-Grid-Bereich zu beginnen. Außerdem sollen die Gremien eine geeignete Arbeitsstruktur entwickeln, die sicherstellen, dass nicht aneinander vorbei standardisiert wird. Auch was in anderen Teilen der Welt entwickelt wird, soll so weit wie möglich berücksichtigt werden, damit intelligente Stromnetze international so kompatibel wie möglich werden. Bis Ende 2012 soll ein erstes Set von Standards stehen, das dann Jahr für Jahr verfeinert wird.
Summary: The EU Commission officially asked the standardization organizations CEN, CENELEC and ETSI to immediately begin with standardization of missing norms for realizing intelligent energy systems and networks, so-called Smart Grids. Besides, the standardizers are supposed to build an internal structure and processes which prevent double work and incompatibilities. A first, basic set of standards is to be finisched until end of 2012. This is to be refined in yearly reviews.
